Hello mums, sorry for repeating this topic. I searched the website but didn’t find much information.

I would like to have a c section (as I had a c section for my first born in HK. I would like to choose among UCLH, St Mary and St Thomas. St Thomas is relatively convenient than the other two on distance for me.

It would be great if you could share your experience with these hospitals, or anything you know about them!

If you know any other good hospital in central London, you are very much welcomed to share it, too!

Thank you in advance!!

Will you be having your baby on the NHS or Private ? Wherever you go book early . Hospitals and therefore by default doctors vary according to how heavily they push for VBAC - you would benefit on an early discussion and decision regarding your choice .

I’m at 6 weeks now, my GP asked me to decide hospital ASAP before getting first appointment/scan with midwife. So I mean NHS here. I’ll go for c section for sure no matter how hard they push, and it doesn’t make sense to force me not taking c section given I had one for my first baby. But if the hospital is less friendly on c section, it will be great!
I desperately need suggestions on which hospital is better...thank you so mich!!

You may not get the choice. If you have no medical justification you can’t necessarily ‘push’ for a C section. Id have a look at their policies. They can and will decline, but can offer to refer you elsewhere. All are v busy.

@Racheyg, yes I did go through which, they are quite similar based on public information.
@Since2016, I do have medical reasons for a c section
