Induction of labour.... How long on the drip?

My first was induction at 36 weeks.

I was put on the drip after 2 pessaries and waters being broken. I was on it 30 mins to an hour and baby was born after about 3 pushes.

I'm 14 weeks now and yesterday my midwife said that was very fast, usually people are on it up to 24hours and this baby will probably come faster.

I wondered how long other people had to be on the drip for and if I was lucky that time will I get lucky and have a fast labour again?

I was on the drip for 19 hours and it felt like forever! My mum was like you - induced and very fast labours (think I was 7 hours, my brother was 5 hours) so fingers crossed it's quick for you again.

I was also on the drip 20 hours. But since your first was so fast it's likely your second will be too Smile

I was on the drip for about 5 hours after 1 pessary and waters being broken.
