I'm going for daily walks. Started occasionally getting down on knees to reach something on floor. Lifting around my babies weight, not much heavier. I don't know whether I'm doing too much or not enough? Feeling ok, just very tender and bruised around the area.

Sounds fine to me. From memory I was doing almost everything around this time other than lifting heavy or awkward things like the car seat. Listen to your body and take it a bit at a time.

I wasn't doing much. Took me five weeks to feel up for more than a slow walk around the shop! Just take your time, go at your own pace :)

Walking, pushing pram, driving, carrying baby in car seat short distances but generally using a sling, going to baby groups, everything really. It's no use asking what everyone else is doing though as everyone recovers at different rates. General rule of thumb is that if it causes more than mild pain you shouldn't be doing it. Congratulations and hope all is going well.

I was mobile but still a bit sore. Couldn't lift Ds in his car seat happily at that stage

I think you know when you have done too much. But that said better to do too little. Take it as easy as you can.Flowers

I think it all depends on how you are feeling and healing as to how much is not enough/too much. It's major surgery after all!

If I remember correctly I was doing similar - keeping moving and gradually increasing my movement range, although I was paranoid about rolling over in bed for some time!

I was back to normal.

Can't remember exactly but I was definitely doing daily 2-hour walks up and down hills with the pushchair around that time. My midwife was horrified, but the doctor said as long as I felt okay doing it it was fine. I was back playing competitive sports as soon as I'd had my 6 week check, although I was pretty crap for a good long while Grin

As PP says you do know when you've done a bit much.

I think being fit & healthy/having good circulation beforehand means recovery and healing can be pretty quick, but saying that there will be times when you think "probably shouldn't have done that...". There's no hurry after all.

Not much. Still in lots of pain post emcs. And resting after planned cs. There is no need to rush recovery at all.

I left it until my six week check before I tried to get back to normal. At the gym at 12 weeks.

A lot I felt great and then I pulled my stitches pulling my push chair through the mud in the park. There is a good reason the doctors tell you to take it easy after a section.
