My perineal stitches fell out- how long to heal?

Hi, I had an episiotomy with DC1 and had 2nd degree tear along the scar with DC2 (now 8weeks). The MW stitched it up but all the skin stitches fell out after a few days leaving a big gaping mess. It's 90% healed now except a little bit (maybe 1-2cm) right at the top of wound by vagina (sorry if TMI). I feel like every time I move/ sit down it opens up and am starting to think it'll never heal.
Has anyone had similar experience? How long did it take to heal and at what stage do gynae think of repairing it?
Thanks.

Not exactly same as you but...

I had my stitches removed at 10 days pp as they were causing extensive irritation (I had loads, inside too). I was told after a week they don't hold anything together. As in if skin hasn't adhered together after a week, it won't.

I had repair surgery at 3 months pp - earliest they would do it (developed overgrowth of scar tissue, essentiallly didn't heal). If still a problem at 6 weeks tell GP at your checkup and they may refer. It took me numerous times of pestering to get a referral and then numerous gynae spots before they would decide if I needed an op or not as they said they had to wait 3 months as can take that long to heal.

Oh sorry op just realised you are 8 weeks pp. definitely go back to gp and ask for a referral as could take several weeks anyway. But as I understand 12 weeks is earliest they will do anything
