Just wondering really whether anyone else has had to be induced for being overdue with first two children then gone into labour naturally with their third?

Not me I'm afraid. I was induced with all 3 despite hoping I'd go into labour naturally with number 3. Once he was in my arms though I couldn't care how he got there as long he was ok! Hope it all goes ok for you Smile

Sorry also meant to say all 3 were induced because of going overdue at 42 weeks

Thanks, I'm pretty sure that will be the case for me too. I'm kind of disappointed because my first two were over 10lb, this baby is measuring big and I've been told throughout the pregnancy that I won't go over my due date. However at my last appointment on Fri they've completely contradicted this and said I'm fine to go 12 days over due. They induced me at 42 weeks with my first and 41+3 with my second.

Hi sj, I was induced with the first two and when my due date came and went for dc3 I pretty much resigned myself to another induction. But my waters actually broke at home, then nothing, not even a niggle, so I was taken in and put on the drip again in the end. Dc4 however made her way out with no encouragement needed at all! So you never know, it can be different every time.

I was I induced with my first two after 12 days and my second was over 10lbs. I didn't want to risk that with the third so I deliberately cried at my 40 week appointment and said I didn't want to wait till 12 days over and be induced again, I wanted to be induced asap and they did it after 5 days. Was a bit embarrassed that the third was only 8 1/2 pounds but the induction was absolutely fine

I have another appointment at the hospital when I'm 39+2. Mainly hoping they will take pity on me, however I'm kinda torn because if I'd go into labour naturally this time I'd love to experience that, oh I wish there was a way of knowing!!
