Waters have gone!

So after having what I thought was my bloody show at lunchtime yesterday followed by cramp ever since my waters went in bed about an hour ago! Phoned maternity assessment and because I'm not having contractions yet I've to go in at 9am in the morning and keep any pads that I change to be tested. First time mum and now in shock! What do I do? Go to bed and try to get some sleep or stay up reading and googling like mad lol?! Any advice appreciated!

When my waters broke my contractions came on thick and fast but everyone is different! I would get some rest if you can, I wish I could have Grin good luck!

My waters went with no contractions, i was given 24hours to start on my own but didnt so had to go in for induction, it was crazy as by the time i started contracting i had no waters left so could see the baby in my tummy! Freaked me out! The 24 hour wit was really horrible constantly leaking! My advice would be dont walk the dog if you have one! I walked ours down a main road and a massive gush left me standing in a puddle and having to walk back with wet trousers chaffing really bad! Good luck to you! Xx

The only time my waters broke before labour started, I still had another 36 hours to wait before anything actually happened! It can go quick or it might take a while. Just carry on with your day, make sure you are well rested. And good luck!

Mine went and nothing happened so I was induced. Contractions started almost immediately from pessary so don't rely on having a long wait! 😂
