I'm due baby in couple of months.

I've been married for few years but didn't change my name. Baby will have DH name and I'm not ruling out changing to my married name down the line.

However, I was wondering when I register baby what identification is needed- can I register my name as married name same as husbands and babies?

Yes technicaly you can as you are married, whether you use your dh name is another issue you have a marriage certificate and if your dc needs a passport the birth certificate would correspond with your marriage certificate which ever name you put.

Thank you.

So even though my name currently is different on hospital forms, current I'd when I register I can refer to myself as married name as I have marriage certificate?

Take marriage certificate with you and then there isn't any question of what your married name is.

Good luck with the birth

We needed absolutely no ID what so ever. I was very surprised. But also pleased as the electoral office had lost my marriage certificate and that was the first place I'd sent it so had no ID in my married name!
