I ended up staying a few days longer than anticipated while I tried to establish breast feeding, so I'm glad I took extra vests/sleepsuits for DD. I was also very glad to have a button down shirt/nightie that I wore for 1st night. It helped a) because a catheter was in and b) it's easy to have buttons for breast feeding. Lots of maternity pads, high sugar foods for your birthing partner, face wipes to keep yourself fresh.

Multipack of black cotton granny pants from Tesco.

C-sections scar will be painful so those papery disposable ones won't do. You need nice high waisted granny ones. I bought size 18 and I'm a size 10.

Nice food for nighttime. You won't eat before the cs, obviously, then the first few hours after you won't feel like it. Munchies tend to hit later, after food has stopped being served.

Dressing gown, for shuffling to the toilet in once your catheter has been removed

Ha I've been wearing the granny pants for the last few weeks - sooo comfy!

Oh yes, didn't think about food. What sort of things did you feel like post op?

OP are you feeling organised?

sryup of figs worked much more effectively for me than the dried fruit,

www.mumsnet.com/reviews/nursery/cots-cribs-cotbeds/9963-arms-reach-universal-co-sleeper-bedside-cot

this cot has been best baby/child related thing i have spent money on.

v pillow, in hospital i slept with baby tucked in beside me, neither of us could move an inch with the pillows and this thing, briliant for feeding, protecting scar, getting baby to sleep proped up on it.
