Pregnancy number three.
DS2 (now 3.5 yrs) was breech so I had an elective c-s. The nicest way to have a baby to date (admittedly quite limited experience ).
With DS1 (now 6) I had a third degree tear, which was fixed pretty well. But following his birth I have had persistent problems with an anal fissure (pre-existing but now worse than ever - took 10 weeks to heal properly after DS1 and reopened despite the c-s after DS2, opens intermittently ) and a manageable and probably ineveitable small amount of stress incontinence.
My preference would now be to have an elective c-section this time around, but am already feeling a little resistance from the consultants at the hospital and feel there might be further presure to try for a VBAC.
Would I be being unreasonable to keep stating my preference and to stick to my guns...?? Would be interested to hear the experiences of others with a preference of an elective C-S.
(Oh and I am also in the moderate-severe persistant asthma bracket, and the thought now of waiting for a 'normal' labour makes me feel a teensy bit terrified...just to chuck those onto the list too...) MPD
