Firstly, apologies - this has been done loads before , and I'm getting on my own nerves if it's any consolation!
Am 35 weeks pregnant with twins - they are 50th and 97th centile and in the last two days one baby has slid behind the other and my waist has gone from 52" to 54"!! Ouch! It feels like one is going to poke out my cervix and I have constant low back pain and corking BHs. I've had a small bit of cramping. My mother has just said that with all of us, she never had a show and her waters only came out when the babies did, so I'm not necessarily relying on shows and waters going, to tell me things are happening.
My cons has described my date of 37 weeks for ELCS as "ambitious and optimistic", so based on what I've described, could anything be happening? I have to get to hospital (2hrs away) asap if anything is starting! What do you think?

Anyone? I'm getting a funny feeling - if I wasn't pregnant I'd think my period had started and the backache is dull and constant. And I'm all hot and sweaty. Confused

It certainly sounds like your body is gearing up for labour. Period pains and backache are signs. Have you tried phoning your midwife to see what she suggests?

Period type pain and an odd feeling sounds like it could be a start to me. It could just be grumblings, but keep an eye on yourself and if in doubt call the labour ward.

Good luck !
