My daughter is only 4 years old and this last week she has suddenly become anxious about everything .
It started with her having a sore throat and then she said she has something stuck in it and thinking that she was going to choke and die . now she has been stressing about germs and thinking about not washing her bottle tidy And having fairy liquid in her belly . She seems to be over thinking everything and constantly wanting to eat snacky foods . I am trying to snap her out of this but worried there is something wrong do you have any advise please

Never say ‘stop worrying’ or dismiss the fear. Talk about what they feel worries them, what their worst case is and try to negate it. My dc is a very anxious child and worries about everything. The clean one is hard because they have a point but if you accept it and don’t Make a big thing about it at 4 yrs you can get them to forget about it fairly easily. When she stresses about fairy liquid in her tummy let her rinse the item again without it being a big deal, let her know it won’t kill her just make her poo a bit runny or the like. Don’t dismiss fear just try to negate them with logic as much as you can. Worries can become bigger when they are ignored or other people stress about them.
