Toys in the car

DS is 20 months and we have just upgraded his car seat from the one that car with our travel system, to one that allows him to sit rear facing until 4 years. With his old car seat we hung some toys on the bar to keep him occupied, but there's no bar on the new car seat and we are not sure what to get so that he can entertain himself. We are looking for toys that can attach to something in the car, so that when he throws them he is able to pick it up himself. Does anyone have any ideas / experiences / know what we should search for on the internet?

Alternatively we might tie some toys with a string to the car seat headrest!

We had a knockoff version of the Lamaze dragonfly thing which we hung off the headrest, the car headrest not the car seat. It had jangly bits on the bottom which he would kick. This lasted until about 18 months and now he tends to look out of the window, in the mirror or sing/talk to us. I think the knockoff dragonfly came from TK MAxx.

Smyths has a lot of the Lamaze toys for only around £10-15 at the moment Smile

Look for toys which attach to the back of the seat like the Taf toys car wheel activity centre.

The knockoff one was slightly better than the proper one, because it was longer so he could reach it more easily!

Oh no, I completely forgot I posted and didn't respond, how rude of me Blush

Thank you all for your suggestions! We tried clipping toys to the car seat and the door (including the Lamaze butterfly mentioned above), but for some reason that upset him. After a few rides he seems to be content just looking out of the window so I think I will just leave it at that.
