Anybody have this car seat?
Would you recommend it?
Can anybody find me the WHICH review on it please?

I have a skinny nearly 4 year old that is outgrowing his current Maxi Cosi car seat - I cant put him in a high backed booster as he’s under 15kg - I’m also expecting number 2 so will need the base for the maxi cosi baby car seat.

This seems like a very good option and I have found a bargain online.

Any other recommendations are welcome Smile

Is he outgrowing the Maxi Cosi by height? If so you might have the same problem with other 18kg seats and therefore you might be better looking for a 25kg seat as they have taller shells.

Hi tea thanks for your reply.
Yes he is outgrowing the Maxi Cosi height wise but he is very skinny.
The Britax is up to age 12/36KG but has a harness for the stage below

I'd test it out before you buy if you can. It's a harness to max 18kg but then they use a seatbelt once they've outgrown the harness (min 15kg!). You might find that you gave the same problem with his height and the harness in the Britax. It only fits up to approx age 12 as a high back booster once the harness is removed and the child is restrained by the adult seatbelt. When you are using the harness, the harness is attached to the headrest in a similar way to your Maxi Cosi so it may not be tall enough for him.

Look at the Joie 123 seats, they have a system to adjust the harness by moving the headrest up and down, which works for the full headrest adjustment span. This means that although the harness is still only rated to 18kg, you avoid the child outgrowing it in height problem that you get with most 123 seats, and would mean you won't need a 25kg rated seat.

Other newer models of car seat might have the same thing, but the Joie one is the only one I know of for sure. Anyway I'd check out a shop which has Joie seats in stock and you can look at what else they have too. Take him with you to try them out, then he can also tell you which are comfy :)
