Evo-lunafix v Evoluna isize- difference?

Hi,

We've made our minds up that we want an Evo Luna car seat for the lie flat functionality. This is the first baby and we hope to have at least one more so want to future proof.

I've done some research and understand that the isize regulation means that there's more rigorous testing than previously, particularly for side impact and rolling.

What I don't understand is the physical difference between the Lunafix and the Evoluna isize. Both are exactly the same dimensions and weight, have the same fixings etc. The Isize version is an extra £80 on an already expensive seat.

If it's just a case that the isize "version" has the isize regulation sticker but is otherwise the same seat, I'll just get the lunafix.

Anyone know if there are any actual differences to the seats themselves?

thanks

There is no physical size difference between these two seats except for the addition of side impact protection on the i-Size. However, there is considerably more protection around the head and shoulder areas inside the seat of the i-Size - it is very obvious when you see the two side by side. The head support is also better in the i-Size. There is more cushioning and is larger. As you say the i-Size has been through more rigorous testing for i-Size, and I suspect the Evo-lunafix will have been through the new more stringent R44/04 testing (?), however Which? still gives 10% more to the Evoluna i-Size (82%) than the Evo-lunafix (72%), so there must be reasons why the i-Size performs better even though the seats look the same. The Evo-luna i-Size is the highest marked infant carrier on the Which? chart too - its a no brainer for me - I would pay the £80 and get the best seat I could for my baby especially considering there is a difference in score.

Does anyone know whether both the Kiddy Evo lunafix & Kiddy Evoluna i-Size fit the egg stroller pram?
