From what I can see you can either get a 40lb + car seat with either isofix OR 5 point harness. Does anyone know one that does both? My 2.5 year old is almost 40lbs, so looking to buy a new seat. Hubby is adamant he wants isofix and I'm adamant I want a 5 point harness, NOT a seatbelt which secures our son in!

Would you consider an extended rear facing seat for your son? MY DS is 4 and I hope to keep him ERF for as long as his weight and height are OK in the seats.

Hi,
I believe Isofix is actually only licensed for up to 18kg which would be your 40lb. (As they have only been tested for up to 18kg) Accordingly, if it is to be either harness or isofix, I'd go with the harness!
(but tbh another vote for ERF here, most go to 18kg but some go to 25kg)

Britax 2 way elite is okay for up to 25kg IIRC.
