Well, that's it really. Looking to buy either of these. They seem to suit car/lifestyle/pram best. baby arrives in spring so don't know if he/she will approve or not! Just wondering what others think of them? good points/bad points/differences? TIA Flowers

Pebble has an easier harness, which can also be adjusted with the headrest. You can take it on a plane.

And it comes in nicer colours, if you care.

I'll be watching this too as having same dilemma.

From my research online the Pebble has slightly more space and growing room so likely to last a bit longer.

Also comes in pretty colours and designs.

According to Which, they both score very highly when used with a base (79 per cent for pebble vs 76 per cent for cabriofix on the family fix base), but the ratings for the cabriofix are waay lower when used without the base at 70 per cent for the pebble and 58 per cent for the cabriofix.

They say: "The Cabriofix offers excellent front crash protection, scoring five stars in our testing. But in a side crash, secured with no base and using the adult seatbelt, it scores a lowly two stars."

We had pebble and family fix base. So compact and lovely to use. Dd always comfy and snug. Great fit with base so easy to click in and out. Felt really safe.

Bought the maxi cosi pearl after which has also served us really well.

Remember that you get locked into a particular base so think about whether the next stage suits you. We loved the pebble but were less happy with the pearl. First, you can't use the pearl without the base so need to buy a cheap alternative for use by grandparents, friends etc... Second, the pearl is quite small compared to competitors so we've ended up putting our DC1 in the next stage up earlier than is ideal.
