does anyone know which car seat has the handle which twist to 90 degrees?

hi,
i think i have seen somewhere a car seat with a small handle within the main handle that pops up and twists to 90 degrees allowing you to carry it by your side a little easier. does anyone know the name of the car seat with this feature or if one even exists? i have searched all day but cant find any references to it at all. please help.

Hi couldn't find a twisting handle but check out the car seat on this site. Haven't looked if you can buy it seperately but you couls look into it.

i have seen a couple really similar to that too and i'll definately b looking into them :) its just really bugging me that i thought id seen this particular carry handle but it seems to have dissappeared! maybe i dreamt it

might have been a old car seat. I remember a few like that. But it would have been about 15years ago. The graco ones have a kink in the handle to make it easier. They all get very heavy as baby gets bigger. Much easier to lift the baby out

That Chicco one looks very shallow, I would look for one with better SI protection.

I haven't seen one with an extra handle (that sounds a bit unsafe to me...) but I have definitely seen one with a twist in the handle which makes it easier to carry by your side. I'll see if I can find it.

I've had a good look, and all I can find is car seats for sale in America - it seems to be a feature over there which we don't have here. Possibly it is to do with different regulations - I know that the handles of some car seats act as a "roll cage" to brace the seat against the backseat of the car in a crash, whereas older seats don't have this feature and require the handle to be down, as it could shatter in a crash. (That's why you always need to be sure to check in the instructions whether the handle should be up or down when in the car)
