Good family friendly pubs near Roundhill campsite, New Forest?

Does anyone know this area?

I'm taking dp and the kids to a permanent tent in this campsite. Dp is very wary of camping. As he gets older, he seems to like his home comforts more and more. Although he's agreed to come, he is concerned that I'm going to make it a 'back to basics' weekend and we're going to end up huddled next to a Primus cooking something inedible with the rain drumming down on the canvas and nothing to do. So any ideas of pubs or other activities in the vicinity will be very warmly welcomed.

thank you

Snakecatcher, Brockenhurst. Has just been done up.

The Hobler Further along the A337 betwen Brockenhurst and Lymnington.

The Turfcutters. In the middle of the forest.

The Mayflower in Lymington near the marinas.

Things to do:

Go to Isle of Wight for the day - from Lymington, on ferry.

Longdown Farm, Near Southampton

Otter and Owl Centre - a personal favourite.

Mudeford Beach/Hengistbury Head - get the 'Noddy' land train from the car park to the beach.

National Motor Museum, Beaulieu.

Bucklers Hard

Marwell Zoo - if you want to go further afield.

Thanks very much for all those. The Snakecatcher sounds really good, from the reviews. And loads of things to do, so I think we will all have a good weekend.
