I don't know of any other sites but DON'T go to Woolacombe Bay Park. We went there 2 years ago and vowed never to go again. The view from the site is fantastic...that's about all it has going for it I'm afraid!

Sandford in Dorset is supposed to be nice but I've never been there

3 cliffs is gorgeous but it isn't really a holiday park - just a ste with a shop and a laundry. Cliff path is v steep but there is a more manageable path as well - about 25 mins walk from the site iirc. Can be scarily windy!

The staff were crap for a start. They didn't care about their customers and just stood around chatting to each other. Also, if you don't want a long walk, I'd check the shuttle bus is actually running. We went in September and the bus wasn't running then. We did actually walk it but it's a steep hill down into Woolacombe. Was worth it to get to the gorgeous beach...but then there was the uphill walk back!!

Also, they were supposed to be child-friendly but my children weren't allowed to join in with anything because they were 'too young'. I think DS was 3 at the time and quite capable of playing musical bumps!!

I used to live in Devon - Woolacombe Bay camp is bloody miles up the hill, is a fair old trek if you decide not to use the shuttle bus. Plus the queues for the shuttle bus can be monstrous in the height of season.

What about Ruda in Croyde, is a nicer beach really, plus you can walk easily from the site to the beach as it is flat - not up the side of a cliff. It is another large site though
