my dp wants an outwell tent - yahoo!

I got a tent 2 years ago with instructions from my dp not to spend more than £100 - for that money he had to be able to stand up in it, sig and one sleeping compartment. I got through Loot an easycamp 500 something which matched his requirements.

At the time I kept drooling over a montana but I couldn't persuade him to spend the money. At the week-end we we're visiting a friend in the Midlands and there was some tent megastore nearby so I persuaded everyone to come and have a look. As we went round going in the tents he got more and more excited. It had to be a montana or a florida was his final thought.

Due to work commitments it looks like our summer holds will be lots of short cmaping trips I can see after 2 weeks he'll start muttering about a new tent - he will not be able to resist it.

Plus we sat on some really comfortable chairs by outwell and suncamp which we are going to buy. Roll on summer holidays.

Just a check the montana is ok isn't it?

The Montana is truely lurverly, I adore mine, went to a tent display the other day, just so we could look in all the other tents, finish up in the Montana, and say 'yes, it really is the best'.

Unless of course you can push to a 'Lake' ie canvas jobbie , with it's lovely 'real' gingham curtains.

Do it, you won't regret it, it you can get the extension too, it adds so much room.

We've got a montana 6 and I can't wait to get it in the car again and off to a camp site. The front extension and carpet do make a huge difference to our space and comfort.

I love it

hi, i too loved my montana....however am either really lazy or... and we decided too much faff for a weekend as almays took nigh on an hour to get up plus numerous discussions on which way worked best last time.....and definately took both of us .....also is heavy so if you are likely to be going to festivals etc then hoinking it to/from car plus kit resulted in dh saying never again after green man and we sold it ...and downsized....there are only 3 of us though....so if you are just doing weekends I would look for something smaller/simpler/lighter...

you'll love it

we'retent geeks, and havejhad some wondrous tents but the Outwell is excellent (the only bonus to khyam was pitchable by one person, outwell too heavy, but outwell hs other bonuses). Its nota monty, ours, but you'll be fine.
