Well, we did it - went camping in our new tent and took some photos to share

yessiree, we finally got a fine weekend to try out our new tent (and found a place that wasn't fully booked in our vicinity).

It was great fun, dd loved it and we even dragged MIL along too.

We drank far too much wine and laughed far too late into the night, and I discovered that, yes, Crocs are not the most pretty shoes on the planet - but they are great for camping !

we found this place and although it sounded somewhat dubious over the phone ('we are a pub and own some land opposite, and use it for campers etc) it was a wonderful discovery - highly recommended and really rather cheap.

Wouldn't do for too long though .. a long weekend perhaps - depends what you are after really...

(wine was good though)
