Thunder and lightning?

So seasoned tent campers, tonight's storm has got me thinking, what should we do in a thunderstorm? Stay in the tent or get in the car? We also have foil backed foam mats for under our SIMs but could these be lethal in a thunderstorm?

FYI we've never been camping before, our first trip is booked for the summer hols do it's all new to us.

Yep, you should get in the car.

Here's some info, it's Canadian but the basics remain the same

We are in a tent in a storm in Lincolnshire now! Everyone else asleep though...

All fine in the end. Home now in our own beds. The children slept through the whole thing!
