Potentially getting a campervan but either way enjoy camping with my little one, she is 2. Has anyone thought about organising a trip with others interested in similar??? :)

I'm interested. I camp with my 2 year old and I think we would both love some company sometimes!

Hi siobhan!

Do you have a boy or girl? Where are you from? I'll be going on my third trip in 3 weeks next weekend with family. My daughter loves it. Would be lovely to plan something and meet new people though. Wonder if we can get a few together :)

A boy! We've only been once but he loved it, he's going next weekend with his dad (and I'm going with my friends for a well needed girly weekend!) And we've got a date pencilled in for mid August with a local friend and her daughter but they've never camped before.

We're in West Yorkshire but happy to travel reasonable distances : )

There's plenty to discover in wales, but not sure if you'd want closer? I've realised that I'm terrified of driving up steep inclines/ heights, so clung to the steering wheel for my life up the peaks yesterday..I mean the clue is in the name really.
If not wales The Lake District would be handy for you wouldn't it?

The lake district or Wales would both be good for us, north Wales is easier but South isn't too bad either. Are you from wales?

Nope I am from Neston, on the Wirral border if you know it?
So I am closer to north wales than the lakes but both are good options :)

I know where the Wirral is but no specific places! Wales is much closer for you then isn't it?

Flip a coin :D

I might actually be going the lakes at the start of august so will get a feel for the drive. Not sure yet though.

How did you find the trip with your Littlun when you went? Wheee did you go?

Sorry I don't know why I've only just noticed I didn't reply!

We stayed really local last time and went to a site near bolton abbey as I wasn't 100% sure I could put the tent up alone! We've done plenty of 2hr+ car journeys before though and I've always found them okay. He loved camping and the freedom, just being outside all the time etc.

What about you, how have you found your trips?
