Germany - Berlin or Munich area?

Hi all,

After spending a lovely time in the Black Forest area previously, we would like to camp in/around either Berlin or Munich areas. Any recommendations for campsites please (we have a tent, not caravan)?

Have 3 DC under 10 years, so somewhere with a playground would be nice. A pool would be good, but it doesn't have to be on-site, just nearby.

No-one really posts much about Germany, so I am hoping someone will read this and have something to recommend! Thank you!

Oh, someone please help me!
Ideally looking for a pool but everywhere mainly looks lake based. The kid prefer a pool really.

Saw a nice one Campingpark Gitzenweiler Hof - but trip advisor reviews say they absolutely ram you in, even in the large spaces...

Sure;y some people camp outside of France on this forum :-)

I've stayed here twice.
It's small, immaculate and you're on the banks of the Chiemsee lake. It's between Munich and Salzburg.

Thanks Apolcalypse, that does look lovely! Will have a proper look later on pc, am on phone just now and it's a bit small! Looks a beautiful area!

Is there an outdoor pool onsite or nearby? I know there is the lake but have young kids and they prefer a pool...

This is not really the area you specify (i.e Austria not Germany - and about 2 hours from Munich), but is a fantastic campsite. www.camping-zillertal.at/

Beautiful indoor pool complex - the website really doesn't do it justice.

Thanks Swear! Have booked somewhere in the Allgäu for this year but we are (already) thinking of Austria next year and that looks absolutely fabulous!! Will bookmark that and take a look on laptop later! Thank you!
