Campsite in France with sailing

We are a family of 5 with a caravan. We already have our ferry booked to go to France for 2 weeks in August.

My husband is a keen sailor and we belong to a sailing club near home. The children are still young (7, 5 and 1 at the time of the holiday) so we are not looking for a full on sailing holiday. Instead we would just like to find a campsite by a beach or lake where we might be able to hire some sailing dinghies and increase the children's confidence in warmish water.

We were in Brittany last year and there was a sailing school on the beach near to us, but of course we couldn't just rent out a boat for a day (we did ask!)

Does anyone know of a campsite that might suit us?

We have looked at the campsite that Rockley watersports uses, but it is too far to drive for us really...although we haven't ruled it out. We are just hoping to get some other ideas. www.rockley.org/watersports/family-holidays

TIA

How about videix (sp) Lake in limousin - just above the dordogne. It's a really lovely Lake with good beach, cafe, restaurant and sailing place. Never stayed at the campsite but it looks fine. It does get busy and lots of English people. We go alot and really enjoy it.

Watching this as we have same thing. Most sailing schools have hobbie cats and we can never seem to find an instructor. We did find a nice looking place on ile de nomoutier last year but no dudes around to ask. Grrrrrrrr.

Oooh you4 that is great. Sorry only just replying now, but it's been a mega hectic weekend.

I have googled though and am just looking into the campsite there. Thank you so much.
