the countdown is ON. i am limiting checking to once a day. what point do we decide it's reliable? 5 days?

i'm off to wales, so god knows why i'm even daring to think it might be dry and warm.

currently looking warm in the days before half term. and abundant sunshine the weekend at the end WHEN WE'LL BE HOME. but in the middle, clouds, light rain, yadee yadee yah.

We're on a 2 week road trip across to Poland for a family wedding and I am refusing to even look at what the weather will be.

We have to go but knowing our luck it will tip it down the whole time

We're going the final weekend of half term. Last time we went this time of year we had one day of glorious sunshine and one of non-stop torrential rain...

When's half term? We're going next weekend if it's nice.

we cancelled last half term cause it was such a wash out. the week before had been proper scorching. i think it was slubber who pointed out that the hot week would have normally been half term, but the dates had been changed cause of the jubilee.

are you camping your way there whojam?

I can start a thread in the weather section if you like? Will do it about 10 days in advance...

Yep planning on camping all the way there and back - just the 2 nights of the wedding under a ''proper'' roof Grin

Nothing booked and we are just going to wing it! Its the first time we've done it with the dcs but dh and I used to take road trips all the time before they came along.

I'm not sure what its going to like - at least in the UK we could pack up and come home if it all went pear-shaped - its not so easy to do that when you are 1200 miles away!

tyaca we are going to Wales too - you are not by any chance going to Fforest Fields are you (long shot I know!)?

My fingers are crossed doubly!!

Oh good. The site we're going to will be packed at half term so I'd rather avoid it.

We have often regretted choosing Whitsun over May Day because the weather in late May is often awful compared to the start of the month.

Yes I'm back on weather watch. Going to Forgewood the last weekend of half term. We went to Breck Farm in Norfolk same time last year (actually Jubilee weekend) and it was a little damp but nothing like the London area thankfully!

OYBBK, I'll be following you on the weather channel Grin

Sacrewell Farm near Peterborough. It's only an hour away and a chance to try the new tent and sims. And they sell cider and fish and chips.

I have two spreadsheets. One for UK and one for Forrin. Not laminated though.

Quenelle, any chance you could share your Forrin one with me? I could pm you my email address. We are going there this summer for the first time.

I have just said to DP that I laminate my list and he rolled his eyes! Hmm

He seems to forget last time when I forgot my SIM and he gallantly let me have his airbed and he slept on the floor, I think we both had the most uncomfortable nights sleep ever!

It pays to be a listy person......

Of course. It's very little and only W/SW France so far hillbilly, from our two week trip last year.

When are you going? I'll have some more to add from the other side of the country after our trip at the start of July.
