Back from Sumners Ponds :)

Really really lovely site near Horsham. We were on the smaller field which has a childrens play area in the middle and our pitch was right next to this which was great. When we arrived they got a warden to show us to our pitch (they were doing this for everyone even though they were very busy). The site was great with lovely lakes for fishing, a little shop and a very good cafe/restaurant which we had a lovely dinner at the first night. Set up quickly and sat down with a drink while the kids played and made friends. Terrible first night sleep as my trusty airbed had a puncture and I ended up on the floor plus I had awful indigestion which had been coming on all day :(

Next day we decided to go to Littlehampton which was 30 mins away. Sadly it was not good weather but we had a wander around then headed back to the campsite and the sun came out for the evening. Much better nights sleep although there was some loud music playing nearby till late which was annoying as the wardens didn't seem to be doing their job with regards to this. The children slept through it though and I was reading so not bothered but must have been annoying for some.

Packed up this morning but as we were taking the tent down the heavens opened and soaked everything so we had to lie the tent out in the garden this afternoon. Luckily it dried pretty quickly :)

Looking forward to our next camp in Dorset in 8 days!
