Want to be 10stone by Christmas

I thought keeping track here might help. I am starting today with a starting weight of 12 stone 8. I was 13 stone 3 about a month ago so have lost a bit already but not taking it super seriously.

I am using my fitness pal and having 1200 calories a day, I will also get at least 10,000 steps a day and try to do some weights etc as well.

I KNOW this can be done, it's just whether I stick to it or not! Fed up of feeling uncomfortable and none of my clothes fitting.

If anyone wants to join that would be great, I will be weighing on Saturday mornings!

Me please!

I'm also aiming for 10 stone by Christmas day. Currently 11st 7lb.

I've lost this amount of weight before but I can't remember how I survived on 1200 calories a day! Any suggestions for meals and healthy snacks would be great.

I was sorting out my wardrobe earlier and it made me realise just how much weight I've gained and how unhappy it's making me. I think I finally want to lose weight more than I want to eat junk!

Yes me! I'm 11 8 today down from 11 11 last week but I always find the first few pounds easy. It's keeping it up that's the hard bit. I'd be delighted to get to 10 7 by Christmas.

I've given up sugar which has really helped but I think I need to cut the calories even more.

Really? That's a heck of a weight loss. I'm 11 stone 8lbs and would be delighted if I could get to 11 stone. 10 stone would be a miracle.

Yes indeed, go hard or go home, right?!

Today I had berries with yoghurt for breakfast, Italian salad with prawns and beetroot for lucnh and tomato and basil soup with sweet chilli crackers for dinner, followed by a milkybar mousse. I have 250 calories left so I may have something later but not hungry right now, but this is the sort of thing I will be eating for a little while, I need to get back in the zone and need a kickstart.

Thanks for the replies!

I was 9 stone 7 last summer by the way, but left my job to be a SAHM and the three stone just crept up with not walking as much and bad eating. So I know where I have gone wrong!

Kittypops, you are the same as me. I am at that point where I want to be slim and fit into nice clothes, it's more important to me than all that good stuff (bad food!!!)

TheDonald have you given up sugar completely?

I've tried to give up anything with sugar listed in the ingredients. I'm only a week in but I've done it before so I know it works. It's just hard to keep it up long term.

I haven't been quite as strict this time. I've had loads of fruit and I've had bread. I really missed the bread when I gave that up (although I lost loads of weight)

Mainly I've just stopped having any cake, biscuits, sweets or convenience foods. It makes me cook my own food because it's amazing how much premade food has added sugar.

It's just a device really to make me stop eating crap at work but it really seems to make me less hungry too.

No point me weighing this morning as I am in the midst of a very heavy period but 12-8.6 have been sticking to calories and steps though so hopefully next week will see a loss.
