Met dh when I was 21, had never thought about my weight, went clubbing a lot and was pretty fit. He was fit too and had lots of outdoor activities. We got married two yrs later and we both slowly put on the weight. That combined with stressful jobs and 3 children I was about 2 stone over what I wanted to be.
I'm 5'6 and have in the last year gone from 11.7 to 10.7 by calorie counting but can't seem to shift anymore weight. I have vast hips and thighs and I'm very out of proportion
Measurements are 33 31 43. I look ridiculous in dresses as my bum and hips are big and I dread the hot weather as I can't wear a floaty dress unless it's a tent. I'm a student and I'm off until sept. And I want to shift some more weight. I eat about 1200 Cals a day but not sure if I can get through the day on less than this as I get 'hangry' any advice lovely people? Thanks Smile

But you're not actually overweight?

But because of my body shape I look overweight, I'm a size 10-12 on top but 16 on bottom, I can't seem to shift any weight on that half

What are your activity levels like? It might be that you need to do some exercise to target and tone up that area. Walking/swimming/cycling and something like a LBT's class maybe?

Squats
Lots and lots of squats
Using good form and maybe holding a weight to up the ante
Evil as they are will change the shape of your thighs and butt which from what you say is what you want to achieve rather than a weight change.
As a happy side effect if you do these you will burn calories too so might also lose weight

I think changing your shape is going to involve exercise. Perhaps have a look at some of the workouts available on YouTube and pick one you like
