what would you have done?

DS has been bullied since last September. The school have supposedly intervened on every occasion and have encouraged him pastorally. Just before the holidays things took a nastier turn as the boy who's been bullying my DS told him he should think about killing himself, that he had no friends and that no one cared about him or wanted him there.
DH and I immediately set up a meeting with the school and we were assured the boy had been sanctioned (even thought they weren't allowed to tell us how). The bully was off for one day and back in school the next. We were (still are) devastated - it's as though nothing ever happened. Should we have done more? Expected more?

I would expect the school to do more.

If they are doing nothing more than a slap on the wrist I would take my child out of the school.
