Infant feeding

Those tops you can attach a pump to for hands free expressing - any good?

Does anyone use one of these? Are they any good? do they really leave you hands free? And the most important question from my POV...would they work on someone with saggy breasts and what are essentially downwards facing nipples? (Wow, I know how to make myself sound attractive! [GRIN])

I scissored two nipple shaped holes out of a grotty old bra - which served exactly the same purpose at no cost.

Worth a try, MrsKitty!

MrsKitty, after seven months of pumping 5-8 times a day for my DD, and 16 weeks and counting with DS, I can honestly say that they saved.my.life. And I have huge downward facing saggy boobs, too. Just get a size smaller than you think you need, and get 2 or three so you can wash and tumble dry to shrink the bras back into shape regularly. If you have saggy boobs I'd get the halterneck not the bustier, I found I had to put a clip onto the bustier to stop it from sagging but the halternck stays up nicely.

Great - Thanks thalia - sounds promising.

Good plan carrot but don't think I've got any old bras that fit at the moment!

I was exclusively expressing for a bit and they saved my sanity because I could double pump and read a book or Mumsnet or similar. Can't actually do much else as the pump horns get in the way (definitely couldn't hold the baby) but it's better than being bored to tears. I agree about the halterneck. I also think the halterneck holds the weight of the pumps better than cut up bras.

They are fantastic! Totally agree with the other comments. I had one with my son so that i could express to bottlefeed as i was unable to breastfeed. (long story!)
Halterneck is recommended and make sure it's a good close fit. And they do work with saggy, downward pointing breasts!!!
