Cheap, massive nursing bras?

Anyone know where to find them cheap? In a F or G?

Baby 9 days old and i don't fancy going round all the shops.

Mothercare and boots charge about £25, was looking at spending more ilke £10

I think you can find them (I got a cheap set from marks they do a two pack for £18)but all the cheap nursing bras I have had have really caused me lots of pain as they are not supportive enough I am a f cup I now use the cheap ones for night time. I personally would rather have second hand good ones off ebay than cheap new ones(they may be used but at least I am not in pain) as the last thing you need when bfeeding is pain from un-supportive bras. Also alot of the second hand ones have hardly been used as they are mostly by people unable to bf succesfully.

Depends on back size as well. Can only find 32 in large cup size in bravissimo or on-line. Would agree that spending a bit more is well worth it (even if you live in the same skanky 2 for months )

I'm a 32G and only the expensive ones are any good. I've got two of these If you can get your size at that price its a real bargain as mine were £24 each.

In Glasgow we have the "bra woman" who comes to your house or maternity ward and measures you up and has a large selection of hefty bras and vests in her boot! The company is "bosom buddies" and the bras are the same as the ones in John Lewis, so not cheap (£20 a pop)but I think the convenience is worth it...maybe there is one in your area?? I don't know that cheap nursing bras exist, do they?

Am really awkward size - 30G/32FF - I would suggest spending the ££ on the bra as otherwise not so comfortable or supoprtive plus you'll get a lot of wear so it's nice to have an attractive bra! I bought a two pack in M&S and also a cheap one in Mothercare, but both useless and a pointless investment.
I have found [www.brastop.com which stocks Hot Milk (lush, sexy and comfy nursing bras - who'd've thought it!) at discounts. I also like Freya, got one from John Lewis - free P&P - they also stock other big cup size brands. Another good brand is Emma Jane - can get for about £20 from Blooming Marvellous, Jojo Maman Bebe, and loads of other online stockists.

I cant reccommend bras4mums enough!

If you are in the North she will do home visits or if you phone she will suggest you a style that would suit your size & shape well as she knows all her stock really well!

Freya do a really nice one, you can get it from figleaves.com it's expensive but worth it - I ended up only wearing my others when this was in the wash (e.g. once it began to smell very noticeably of cheese) it's brown with cream polka dots and the only large nursing bra I could find that didn't look more like a surgical truss than an item of lingerie.

Have you tried an NCT sale? I'm about to offload my several other bras there (minus the superbra, saving that just in case a condom breaks at some point) but I think they would be too big for you unfortunately.

If you can save the money on other things then I really would recommend buying a properly fitting bra. I second the previous posters who point out that this is the time in your life when your boobs need the most TLC and support ever. If it's the first time you've had really big boobs you may not realise the consequences of an ill-fitting bra! I was a 32F before I got pregnant (don't even ask what I am now) and believe me the right bra will save you from a whole world of pain.

Hiya I buy very comfy "three way" non breastfeeding bras you know - the type that you can take the straps off. They are available in asda for about £5.00, then all you need to do is attach a piece of elastic from the shoulder strap down to the cup to prevent it pinging behind your shoulder when you undo it.

Its a very cheap way of getting a very comfy underwire breastfeeding tshirt bra without too much trekking about

Kitkatqueen - what an awesome idea! I wish I'd thought of that earlier! I'm only expressing twice a day now so back into my maternity bras but that would have been an excellent solution. Will pass it on to my NCT mates, we were all having a moan about bras the other day (as you do)

pcplum, Thankyou sooo much I have been looking for those clips everywhere! I have butchered all the horrible saggy mothercare ones I originally bought and have used those clips on some of my bras, I then bought a press studs kids and have a selection with poppers. Using the 3 way bras was my latest idea based on my current lack of time I am now on month 53 of breastfeeding and have gotten through rather a lot of underwear .

Hey

Always worth checking out the Mothercare sale, I got some F cup bras for £8 each online. It was a few months ago, but they have a lovely pattern on them and look like they are underwired.

The M&S G cups I bought cost £25 for two and are hideous. Practical but hideous.

Thinking of hitting Bravissimo today for a nice new one, the M&S old lady bras are giving me the creeps {blush}
