If i feed DS from one & express from the other as seems to be most reccomended on MN, will there still be enough milk for me to offer 2nd boob to DS as he always feeds from both. And do I then express from the other?

my ds always feeds from both sides aswell which is why i have avoided expressing while he is on one side, i know there wouldnt be anything there. thers hardly enough for him when i express between feeds. will watch this thread for answers.

I think you could offer the second breast after you've expressed from it, as the general consensus is that you never get out as much with a pump as a baby can do on his/her own. When trying to get up your supply, it is recommended to "offer the third side" (i.e. go back to the first breast after your LO has been on both sides), in order to stimulate demand.

Hope this helps - and that tiktok or someone more qualified will be around to give you more up-to-date info shortly. In the meantime [www.kellymom.com]] is a very comprehensive and useful resource that might have more information on this topic.
