I've just had a copy of the report. It's confidential so I shall just say 'grrrrrr' and shout 'you completely missed the point on purpose!'.
but not

No need to worry! Just that some people complained about the advert for their follow on milk.

Why's it confidential? Is it possible to get hold of a copy of it, or do you have to have complained?

They've sent me a draft of the report, I guess you have to have complained to be sent one.
I think they missed the point in the way that they summarised the complaints. They had 62 complaints and from those drew three main points which were what they investigated. IMO the points they investigated didn't really get to the heart of the matter.
Not surprised though - the companies are very clever/well advised by their lawyers!

I wonder if it's too late to complain? I must admit that whilst the advert annoyed me so much that I wanted to complain, I wasn't sure exactly which laws/guidelines it was breaking.

At least they didn't refer to a baby as 'it' like the Heinz milk ad.

I complained too, so also received it.

Completely missed the point on purpose about sums it up.

It can't be confidential - they are sending it out! You;re not employed by them (presumably) so I can't see you have any duty of confidentiality to them.
Post it!

I complained about the Heinz nurture ad and am waiting for the ASA recommendations...

I get cross as I don't feel they make it explicit enough that you aren't supposed to stop bfeeding at 6 months and switch to follow on - although they appear to think that putting this in the worlds smallest writing for 3 seconds on the bottom of the screen will get them out of this...
Is the cow and gate one the one about 'do I look like I need vitamins', 'does my tummy look upset' in writing above the children?

yes thats the one

I do find it annoying - although I can see the point of people who use forumla that depending on how it was handled it could be seen as 'another' reminder that they aren't breastfeeding - I started a discussion on this whole shebang when I complained to the ASA and it was really interesting to get a range of opinions (you can probably find it by looking up my post history or something as I couldn't find it in my threads I started to link to here...).
