7month totally refusing formula, should i stop offering??

i have been weaning for about 2 months and now ds is completely refusing his milk. he cries at the sight of the bottle and won't take it from his doidy cup.

he takes his solids fine and takes watered down formula or water from his doidy cup so what i am wondering is should i stop trying to make him take milk and just hide it in his food, would he get enough this way??

im getting tired of the constant battle of the bottle.

also gp is getting worried about his weight as he has hardly put anything on in months now due to his refusal to take his milk, and she is making murmers about blood tests and paediatricians.

do you offer him milk before his food? why can he not drink non watered down formula from a doidy cup?

he starts drinking the non watered down formula, realises what it is then crys and won't take anymore.

ive always offered milk before solids, he has never taken his formula well.

i see. you can hide milk and calcium in his food...but i am not sure if it will be enough IFYSWIM. have you tried a different formula.. ? just in case ?

yes, he was on cow and gate and ive tried him on hipp.

i'll stop offering and see how it goes, and take him back to doctors on monday.

just wanted reassurance that he isn't going to waste away.

i would keep offering watered down milk and water as much as possible, he needs milk/calcium and fluid. sorry to not be more help
