SMA on the telly

so I was watching Scrubs tonight with DD2, there was an ad, someone's living room, father's voice over, all about how he promises to help out, with the night feeds, MIL is looking sceptically at M, who we only see from behind, she is pacing the floor with what can only be a young baby (from the way it is held) but we don't actually see the baby. On the floor is a play mat and one of those dangly mobile things tiny babies lie under...cut to the kitchen cupboard where SMA progress is shown. I splutter in outrage. DD2 says, 'yes, I know, it's illegal...' But as we rewind it am forced to conclude it doesn't break the letter of the law....bastards.

Yeah, have seen the ad. More than irritating. Can't believe they get away with it.

There is a disclaimer through the whole thing.

I'd like to see the advert remade for my household; where DH promises to disappear to Russia for most of the week and get grupmy if I bother him with any small details of a new baby............. And he tells me he's tired and has had a hard day and doesn't need to hear it...............

Might not be such a good advert but so much more realistic.
