Colicky bfed - what foods to avoid ?

My friend's wee girl is 1 month old and really colicky at night. She is bfing and wants to try and change her own diet to help the colic rather than just go straight for the medicinal remedies.

Any ideas what foods to avoid ? She's a vegetarian and is blaming a high vegetable diet for her DDs windiness.

I was recommended to avoid tomatoes and citrus fruits and to drink fennel tea.

Chocolate was a big one for us (what a bummer that was too.
Onions, tomatoes and leeks as well.
Didn't even dare try caffeine in tea or coffee.

MY DD had horrid colic. I cut out dairy and it worked wonders. I am also a vegetarian.
