D-MER has returned??

Hi, I had bad D-MER with my daughter from birth to about 7-8 months, when it started to improve. It's been gone entirely for over a year now, but the last three or so days it has been back. My daughter is now 23 months, and only feeding at bedtime and occasionally in the morning (if she's feeling the need), and it's been the morning feeds that have been bringing back the D-MER. She's been very clingy/wanting milk the last few days, so it's been every morning now for three days. Is it normal for D-MER to make a reappearance? I hope someone can reassure me that this isn't going to last! I hate it! (though I'm also hoping she's going to give up feeds sometime soon, so that may stop it, if she does decide to give up ever!).

It could be nursing aversion, any chance you could be pregnant?

D-mer?

Dysphoric milk ejection reflex. Where breastfeeding brings on intense negative feelings with each let-down, due to a reaction to the hormones involved.

Blimey. That sounds tough. Well done for keeping going!

Sorry can't help but what about contacting la lache or something?

assassinatedbeauty , I would LOVE if that were the reason. I had a miscarriage in April, but it's too early to test this month, if that is the reason. My husband has practically zero sperm count though, so I would be extremely surprised.

saucyorange it's certainly not fun! But as I knew what it was, I could kind of tell myself to grit my teeth and it would pass in a few minutes. Not desperate for it to return, even though I know I can deal with it. La leche league is a good idea :)

It could be linked to all the feelings and emotions from the miscarriage. Your hormones will be all over the place from this too.
Can you husband distract to give you some alone time each day, time just fro yourself. I get bad aversion at times and tiredness, no me time definitely makes this worse. The child being clingy tends to come when we are at our most tired needing a minute to ourselves too.
