Hi all,
I've been bf my lo with a formula supplement at 6pm after she's fed from me first, she would then cluster feed through the evening till last feed before bed at 8.30. She has a dream feed and would then sleep through till 7ish. This was from 4-16 weeks when she started a growth spurt and started waking to feed more, sometimes once or twice, sometimes every hour. She's now 19 weeks and still doing this, which makes me think it isn't a growth spurt anymore? She has a good bedtime routine, goes down well after a little cuddle and will fall asleep on her own, she is fed each time she wakes, most of the time popping the dummy back in and soothing her isn't enough and she wants to take a full 10 min feed. She's showing a lot of signs that she's ready for weaning and I'm wondering if milk just isn't enough to keep her full any more, has anyone else experienced this? Not sure if it's more food she's after or if there is something wrong with me or my milk. I'd like to carry on bf her but don't know that I'm keeping her full enough. The 8oz formula bottle will only keep her full for an hour to hour and a half so I don't think swapping to formula would help. TIA x
