Infant feeding

does all formula smell horrid? SMA does :-(

Hi

I used SMA with my first DC, and am now starting to use it for my second. I'd forgotten how horrible it smells, and wondered whether they're all like that? Or are any any better?

I recall visiting a friend overseas when we were both using formula, and hers smelt quite nice and a bit vanilla-y. Much more appetising!

Feel a bit mean (daft I know) feeding her something that makes me pull a face.

I think they are all pretty foul smelling.

DS has hypoallergenic formula. Now that is rank. Smells like horlicks mixed with tuna.

I've used Cow and Gate and Aptamil and never noticed a bad smell.

Then again my sense of smell is not great so maybe it's just me.

I think hipp smells better but not actually "pleasant". I like the smell of all formula tbh its the smell of leftovers in a cold bottle

All the ones I ever used smelt rank. So much so that I was continually surprised how much babies seemed to love it Confused

Yes they all smell revolting IMO. At best like sour milk, but they don't taste off they taste sweet (I've tried them Blush)

Was the overseas friend from the US? Many of their formulas come in vanilla variations once you get past 6 months.
