Cluster feeding!

Anyone got any tips on how to survive Cluster feeding? My DD is 2 and a half weeks old and has just started her first growth spurt, with some very intense cluster feeding to match... She's fed at least every hour from 9pm-5am for the last 3 days, and we seem to be going through the same again tonight! She sleeps and feeds every 3 hours in the daytime, but my nights (and my nipples!) are so broken!
Does anyone have tips on how to survive this? Or some reassurance that it will end soon?

We had to get my little girl (4 weeks old ) a sleepy head and Ewan the dream sheep, as she was waking every hour at night time.
They have worked wonders, last night she only woke up twice.
Can get them both on Amazon, pricy but so worth it!

Can you try waking and feeding more often in the afternoon? (Try shifting the cluster-feeding into a more appropriate time).

Also, I have read on here somewhere about a cheaper sleepyhead trick (but haven't tried it myself).

Good luck OP, we're about a week behind you.

Thank you :)
She actually goes down to sleep pretty well in her moses basket, if she's fussy we play her some ed sheeran(!)... But she wakes every 30-45 minutes screaming like she's never eaten in her life! Then feeds for about 15 minutes and the whole cycle starts again.
Do you think the sleepyhead and ewan would keep her asleep longer?
My midwife and health visitor both told us off for trying to teach DD the difference between day and night by having quiet dark rooms at nights and bright noisy days... Apparently little babies can't physically learn these things and I should let her work out her own rhythm. But I am tempted to wake her in the daytime to tire her out a bit!
Indomitable hope this stage is much easier for you than me!

Can you go skin to skin in the morning / afternoon to encourage her to feed more then? I don't think you can avoid the cluster feeding but you can hopefully adjust time? I am currently having lazy mornings in bed with DD letting her gorge really and then we get out in afternoon and evenings / nights are not so bad.

Ewan and sleepyhead worked wonders for nights here - my DD nearly 5 weeks now.

Flowers. It's bloody hard work!

That sounds like a really good idea! She's definitely getting a bit less demanding, feeds about 5-1 now, but will only fall asleep on me now so I'm waiting on ewan to arrive from Amazon!
We have a poddle pod which she loves, so DP is not keen on buying a sleepyhead as well... But the pod says it's only for supervised naps so I still have to watch her!

The sleepyhead is stupidly expensive for what it is but it really is worth it if Ewan needs help. Grin

Wee tip re Ewan - make sure you keep a battery stash. He chews through them. Also the water sound is best for getting off to sleep I find and the heartbeat for keeping asleep. The plinky music keeps my one chilled if she's awake and I want a shower.

I love that sheep. Truly. Even his sinister red glow. Grin
