Only managed a few weeks with ds1 and 6 months with ds2 but here i am with dd who is 14m and she will not give up her 'booboo' i kinda thought she's given it up completly days before her first birthday but we are still at it! Im kinda proud of myself and at the same time really quite surprised at myself! I find bfeeding a toddler quite strange really, im not used to having my top yanked and my boobs fondled in the middle of tesco's!

lol @ your description. well done!

my dd turned 1 last week and is affectionately known as The Booby Terrorist in our house.

i'm amazed that i'm still going and at the mo neither of us seems interested in giving up.

in fact i'd be afraid to now, how on earth would i get her to sleep at night LOL.

out of interest do you give your LOs cows milk as a drink during the day? at present i only offer water.

dd feeds on demand if we're together in the day or a couple of times in the evening, once thru the night and first thing on my work days.

tbh, she's not drinking heaps tho but she's thriving so i'm not worried about intake really.

but anyway, back to OP and a big congratulations to you!

Good for you!

Went to 14 mnths with my DS who self-weaned (biting all the time). I would happily have carried on but we were down to a few night feeds only by then so didn't feel too bad about stopping.

(BTW currently bf DD who is 4 mnths - wonder how long we'll manage this time!).

I'm also bf my 13 month old - and although she can walk and feed herself, when I bf her I find that she reverts straight back to being a tiny baby. She is showing absolutely no signs of wanting to give it up, which is fine my me.

my dd likes to stand up and feed these days! it's hilarious really, luckily (or because) we have a low sofa and she stands btween my knees.

normally in the day she lifts my shirt or pulls my top down to indicate her requirements! she's not really talking yet so it's just "dat dat dat" which applies to everything really!

evening times she likes to lie in my arms like a baby.

it's just so lovely and i will be sad when we do finish...........

ps: the biting's not pleasant tho

Well done to everyone.

It's nice to hear that I am not the only one. My DD2 is 14mths and I am still feeding her. She is dairy intolerant so I am really glad that I can do this for her. My MIL keeps asking me when I am going to stop and I feel myself making excuses but I don't want to give up as she will be my last and it really is no trouble.
