Overeating?

Hi, a bit of advice pls? My 12 day old DD is eating for Britain! She won't get in to a routine - 3oz after 3hrs but will have 6 oz and sleep for hours! Is she having too much?

Sounds like she might be going through a growth spurt. Extra sleeping can be a side effect. there are a good few growth spurts from what I've heard. 10 days, 3-6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months and 9 months.

OP, this is a question for your midwife or Hv. There's not sufficient info in your post, really, and with very young babies, it is always best to get hcp opinion. Yes, it could all be fine, yes, it could be a growth spurt, and at 12 days, you would not expect anything like a predictable routine.....but it's deffo something to check with someone who can have the whole picture.
