Stomach Bug - breast milk smells sours

Hi

I've had a stomach bug and cold for a few days now. My breast milk and DS poos smells very different. Both smell very off to me, the poos almost vinegary. DH thinks my smell is a bit off at the moment, but agrees they both smell different.

Anyone had a similar experience. Is it still ok to beast feed?

does your DS not want to feed?

I suppose your illness might change the smell of your milk, but it won't have "gone off", really!

as long as he wants to feed, then it will be fine.
Your milk will be making antibodies to make sure your DS doesn't catch your cold/bug, and it will keep him hydrated if he does end up catching it.

make sure you are hydrated - can you keep liquids down?
it doesn't matter too much if you can't eat much as your body will still prioritise milk production over everything else.

hope you feel better soon
