Long and short of it - we're having BF problems, MW has said there is a tongue tie. If it helps with the problems (pain and supply dropping off) I want to get it done but I want to make sure we're using someone with a good reputation. If anyone has experience of using Suzanne Barber would you mind telling me what you thought?

There are also a couple of paediatric dentists who are doing laser revisions. They both trained with Dr Kotlow,

Malcolm Levinkind in north London and John Roberts at Cote Royd Dental Practice in Huddersfield.

Have a look at the Tongue Tie Babies support group on Facebook where you will find many, many mothers who are facing the same problems.

I met Suzanne briefly at a breastfeeding conference recently as she was promoting the Tongue Tie Association. She seemed very nice but I guess that doesn't really tell you much. Smile

Why not have a chat with her on the phone and see how you feel?

I was lucky enough to be sent for an appointment with Suzanne Barber by my community mw when DD was 2wks and losing weight. She was able to quickly establish there wasn't a tongue tie issue but her bf support was invaluable, she was able to tweak the way I was holding DD to ensure the latch was perfect and this also severely reduced the pain I was experiencing. I only had 2 nhs appointments with her at my local hospital but she was well regarded by the local mw and was one of the most experienced MW on the maternity ward.
