Hi i posted here last week as LO was poorly with a cold and not feeding much, so anyway i was expressing when i could but still had loads of milk (LO previously fed every 2-3 hours round the clock).

However i have had a massive drop in milk production and now my LO is getting better he has been wanting to feed every hour pretty much, im guessing to boost my supply.

My question is, have i buggered it up now or will my supply come back? And how long is it likely to take? LO is so miserable as he's hungry all the time and still fighting the last of this virus but i cant be tied to the sofa every hour! He's 5 months old.

Any experiences/ advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Just keep feeding and your supply will adjust accordingly. Not sure how long it will take, my guess is several days.

Also, there is always milk, you can't run out, so resign yourself to sitting on the sofa a bit more than usual and it will sort itself out.

Thank you. I know i still have milk, its just that i can feel that my supply has dropped ALOT and i was worried that it wouldnt build back up to what is was. Ive been eating loads of porridge but doesnt seem to have done anything.

I am pretty sure it will if you keep feeding. Good luck.
