Biting at 10 months

Ok, so DD is 10 months. I've been BFing away morning and evening, and she likes to come into bed and feed from about 4am. She has started biting - enough to make me yell. I'm mentally ready to give up BFing, but I'm not sure she is IYSWIM. But I am definitely done.

I suspect cold turkey is not the way to go but I am so done I'm like a burnt steak.

How to stop, and how to persuade her to stop?

Much gratitude in advance.

By the way, she has four teeth, two up, two down, right opposite each other.

OOOOooooo me too! The OUCH! followed by a very quizzical butter-wouldn't-melt-expression is funny at first but its wearing thin. My dd is 7mo. I don't want to cold turkey but how else to get her moving off the boob?

Bump bump bump. :)

I've not done this, but I guess maybe you need a plan for day and a plan for night. During the day - distract and feed with bottle or cup. During the night, gradually reduce feeds by 1 minute at a time until they are 0 minutes long. A 10mo doesn't need food in the night, so she will be okay, but there might be some fussing... Hard to deal with, but offer lots of snuggles and strokes and cuddles instead.

Ps. My 9mo went thru a biting phase and I just remove him immediately as soon as the teeth make an appearance. Bite = end of feed. Zero tolerance policy. It seems to have done the trick and biting has now ceased (for the time being).

I did scream at my (then) 8mo when she bit me; it upset her and she hasn't done it since. But I will be watching with interest because I think the top two teeth are coming through which will make a big difference...
