i have just finished my last feed with my dd. its been 13 months and what an amazing experience. im so proud of myself and my dd..... nobody thought we'd make it to 6 months - let alone 13!! sat quietly holding back a little tear - tomorrow might be a different story when it comes to feeding time. I've been very lucky, i have had no major issues ( apart from refusing the bottle - it got very demanding ) but im glad we stuck with it. just giving myself a virtual pat on the back and very much looking forward to doing it all again one day soon. x

aw, well done you!

my DS had his last feed on his 3rd birthday...I must admit I was cheering, rather than crying Grin

its bittersweet really! part of me is happy about stopping and the other a little sad. very much looking forward to going bra shopping and lookin for tops that don't have to be feeding friendly!! :-)

Your thread title made me smile :)

I gave my last breastfeed 5 years ago but I'm still feeding brats on occasion.

It is a nice feeling of personal satisfaction isn't it? I remember my last - and it was absolutely my last - and felt a little like TanteRose.

Well done you! Good luck with tomorrow.

DS is 27 months and still feeding twice a day. I have vague thoughts about stopping but have The Fear. When I asked how old he'll be before he stops he said "eight". That is typically his answer to any number based question eg. What's the time DS? "Eight", so hoping he was just following form!

My DS1 answers 10 to most things, he stopped when he was 2 though :)
