Best closed system electric breast pump?

Hi all.
Any advice on a good, closed system electric breast pump? Currently using an avent hand pump, I can only express from one side and I'm lucky if I get more than 1oz in 5 mins (not sure if that's good or not). We've just stopped formula top ups but Dh still wants to give Ds a bottle at night and I need a store of milk for when (if ever) I go out!!

Can't really afford to spend more than £100 and want a closed system so I can keep it to use if I have other DCs (also a bit of a clean freak).

Been looking at medela swing but read its not closed, anyone know if the lansinoh ones are?

Hi there,

We've noticed this thread is quite old and some of the product recommendations are out of date. We recently spent three months researching and testing the most highly recommended breast pumps on the market to find which ones offer the best value for parents.

Read our round up of the 10 best breast pumps available in the UK to find out which electric, manual and silicone breast pumps made the grade.

Hope that helps,

Ameda Lactaline is - if you can't buy new for less than £100 (can sometimes be £125 but there have been offers on), you should be able to pick one up on eBay or 2nd hand from somewhere - and being a closed system, you can sterilise all the bits you need to.
