Just as we are getting over tongue tie, Ive noticed that 2.5w old Dd's gum feels very sharp in one area as she is breastfeeding. I've felt her gum and think I can feel something just under the surface but I'm not sure. Does anyone have any experience of this or how to get diagnosed? Bf is bearable but there is a sharp pinching sensation.

Some babies are born with teeth, yes. It shouldn't affect breastfeeding though as many babies and toddlers with teeth are still breastfed.

It sounds as though there is room for improvement with the latch. Does it hurt all the way through a feed? Is it on both sides or just one?

Is there a LLL group or Baby Cafe locally?

I think the latch is much better although not perfect. The cracked/bleeding nipples have healed completely which I wouldn't have believed 10 days ago!

The let down is painful but that improves after a minute, the sharp feeling is there all the way through, sometimes feels like she's biting all the way through the breast Shock
